“Les Oreades”

In 1902, William Bouguereau painted “Les Oreades” (which translates to “Mountain Nymphs” or “Nymphs of the Hills”). Recently I have been finding influences of this “living” spiral in a variety of contemporary artists work and in a variety of mediums ranging from collage, sculpture to large-scale water-color.
